In the framework of addressing some important issues for the life and institutional perspective of the University College “Canadian Institute of Technology”, today on 29.05.2020, Board of Administration of the institution hold its next meeting. This meeting preceded the main developments announced by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, which are related to the measures for closing the academic year 2019-2020, which start during June and extend until September, as well as those related to with the resumption of academic activity for 2020-2021. During the meeting, Prof.Assoc.Dr. Ramiz Zekaj, Chairman of the Board of Administration of the “Canadian Institute of Technology”, informed the members that, UC “CIT” (CIT) has shown a strong institutional personality, being among the main institutions in the country that have used innovative technology in the teaching process and meeting all academic obligations and standards for students, so that they do not lose any of the knowledge they should have received and the curriculum.
At the same time, he emphasized that UC “CIT” in addition to fulfilling academic obligations for its students, has also helped the high school graduates across the country, through an online platform, which has provided them with free repetition and support with teaching hours in main subjects, developed by the best academics at CIT. This shows the support that CIT gives not only to high school graduates but to all those who want to study with the highest academic standards and in a perfect study environment. Among other things – it was emphasized – that they (graduates) will benefit in CIT a real and tangible experience, to develop studies not only with quality, but in the heart of a dynamic metropolis. This presentation preceded the convened meeting, which continued with the treatment of the agenda previously announced to the members.
The meeting was attended by members of the Board, Prof. Dr. LLukan Puka, Prof. Dr. Shkëlqim Cani, Prof.Dr. Andonaq Londo and Prof. Assoc. Merita Xhumari. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board, Prof. Assoc.Dr.Ramiz Zekaj.
The Rector of the institution, Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi was also invited to the meeting.
At this meeting, the Board of Administration, after reviewing all the proposals and documentation, decided on:
1. The appointment of Mrs. Erjona Deshati in the position of Administrator of the University College “Canadian Institute of Technology”;
2. The appointment of Mr. Ubejd Osmani, in the position of Administrator of the Faculty of Economics;
3. Appointment of Mr. Bledar Komina in the position of Advisor and Representative of the Board of Administration at the University College “Canadian Institute of Technology”;
4. Approval of the “Salary Grade” for Academic Staff;
5. Approval of the ‘Institution Development Strategy and the Financial Budget Plan 2020-2025”;
6. Approval of the “Financial Regulation” of the University College “Canadian Institute of Technology”;
7. Approval of “Tuition Fees” for the academic year 2020-2021.
Board members, in their speech, praised the fact that UC “CIT” has consistently had positive developments, as a highly accredited institution, which is already a pioneer in teaching methods and technology, which helps students to absorb the latest knowledge, always taking into account the necessary needs of a changing education.
