Canadian Institute of Technology is an accredited University College which operates in the heart of Tirana – Albania.

SUMMER SCHOOL HAS STARTED!
|
A few highlights from the first session of the Summer School.
This first session was greeted by the Representative of the Board of Administration, Dr. Bledar Komina, the Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Vasil Qano,
the Vice Dean of Economy Faculty Dr. Edmira Cakrani, and the Vice Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Blerta Nazarko.

INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY STARTUP COMPETITION | SPLIT, CROATIA
|
STup! 2022 brought together local and international startups, entrepreneurs, businesses, accelerator and incubator representatives, and investors from the region and beyond where CIT is a partner university.
Our university was represented in this competition by eight students who participated with their respective start-up ideas.

|
|
“BIG MATH COMMUNITY” – ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
|
A round table discussion was held with our students from the Big Math community where it was emphasized the educational plan for preparing them for the labor market in the field of Big Data.
Also it was an introduction to our students for a possible collaboration on research, publications, and projects involving BigData profile students.

CIT–UNICEF | COLLABORATION MEETING
|
We had the pleasure to host at CIT, the representative of UNICEF Albania, Mr. Roberto De Bernardi.
At this meeting were discussed the future collaboration
and projects focusing on children and youth, where we presented our Engineering and Economy Faculties’ capacities on the level that can contribute to developing digital solutions for UNICEF target groups.

INTERNSHIP PRESENTATIONS DAY
|
CIT had the pleasure to organize another successful internship presentations day!
Bachelor students had the opportunity to present their internship experience in front of the CIT committee where they were eager to give their feedback and share all they have learned throughout this journey and the related literature review they’ve covered during their studies.

GUEST SPEAKER | SUMMER SCHOOL 2022 HIGHLIGHTS
|
We were delighted to host at our premises, Mr. Arbër Hajdari, the founder of “Fundjavë Ndryshe” foundation, who was welcomed by the Administrator Msc. Ubejd Osmani,
as part of our Summer School program.
During his speech, Mr. Hajdari focused on the first steps difficulties, motivation and the persistance of the “Fundjavë Ndryshe”, on how it all began to later become the largest foundation in Albania focused in humanitarian help.
This gym can be accessed by our staff and students with a 22% discount.

PYTHON MASTER CLASS – FIRST SESSION
|
Thrilled to have started our newest project, the CIT HUB INNOVATION CENTRE, on CIT’s premises.
Our respected lecturer Dr. Eugen Musta, Head of the Business Administration Department, described to the students the concept of CIT HUB and answered all of their questions during this presentation.
MSc. Evis Plaku guided participants through the topics that would be addressed throughout this course, making it simple for everyone to grasp:

WEB DEVELOPMENT MASTER CLASS – FIRST SESSION
|
A few highlights from the first session of the Web Development Master Class where
our esteemed lecturer MSc. Ibrahim Çekiri guided participants through the topics that would be addressed throughout this course, making it simple for everyone to grasp Web Development by providing several examples of how to utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Bootstrap, as well as other tools.

INTERNATIONAL TRAINING WEEK – ERASMUS+ PROGRAM – SEVILLE, SPAIN
|
A five-day event where Dr. Ditila presented our university and all we have to offer, from our cutting-edge education management system to accredited study programs and everything in between, in order to provide prospective students with unique academic experiences from different countries and assist them in taking their next steps in higher education.

‘’ASSET SEIZURE CONFISCATION MANAGEMENT RE-USE’’ – SEMINAR | ROME, ITALY
|
Following national awareness raising workshops on social re-use of confiscated assets in 2020 and 2021, government officials and civil society representatives from South-Eastern Europe gathered in Rome for a seminar organized by OSCE on confiscation and re-use of criminal assets.
Our Professor Prof. Asoc. Fabian Zhilla was part of this seminar with his topic: ‘’CHALLENGES OF ASSET COLLECTION AND SOCIAL REUSE IN ALBANIA’’.

“REBOUND REBUILD, REINVENT FOR SUSTAINABLE AND EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT”
|
Dr. Enriko Ceko, our Head of Business Administration & IT Department, attended an International Conference organized by the Economy Faculty of Tirana University.
He was part of this conference with his paper entitled: “A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF BUSINESS SOPHISTICATION BETWEEN WESTERN BALKAN COUNTRIES, UNDER A QUALITY MANAGEMENT APPROACH”.
