University College “Canadian Institute of Technology” is a private academic institution established in 2011. The licensing decision was issued by the Albanian Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science on 10 November 2011. Canadian Institute of Technology is an accredited University College which operates in the heart of Tirana – Albania.

WELCOME CEREMONY OF THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/24
|
To mark the commencement of a new academic year and the beginning of a fresh educational journey, we hosted a warm welcome ceremony for our incoming students.
Besides staff, the opening ceremony was greeted by the rector of CIT, Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi, extending a heartfelt welcome and expressing his hopes for a prosperous year ahead.

BRIDGING THE FUTURE TECHNOLOGY
|
Our university had the honor of being a special guest at TBS 96’s 10th event, “Bridging the Future Technology” in Tirana on October 20th!
Our students accompanied by our professor Eng. Shefqet Meda got to engage with a diverse range of local and international tech companies, paving the way for exciting opportunities and innovation.

UNIVERSITY SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP | OPENING CEREMONY
|
CIT participated in the highly anticipated university sports championship organized by FSHSU. The event kicked off with an inspiring and motivational speech delivered by the President of FSHSU, Mr. Besnik Veliaj, while expressing his gratitude towards the students.
Our university’s talented students, eagerly took on the challenge, competing in 3 disciplines: football, basketball, and volleyball.

What an inspiring start to this academic journey! We were honoured to have our Rector Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi kickstart the day, emphasizing the significance of a master’s degree and the prestige of holding a CIT diploma.
Our national and international staff followed with a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for an incredible learning experience ahead this academic year.

CLOUDIFICATION EVENT | CIT PARTICIPATION
|
CIT students had an incredible time immersing themselves in the world of Cloudification!
Thanks to Raiffeisen Bank, they were part of an event featuring speakers from Amazon Web Service, Raiffeisen Bank International, Raiffeisen Bank Albania,
and Deloitte Digital sharing insights, success stories, and challenges in the tech world.

THE EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EMPLOYMENT FAIR
|
CIT was part of “The Education, Training, and Employment Fair” organized by the Ministry of State for Youth and Children and Tirana Municipality! We set up an amazing booth, eager to meet and engage with numerous enthusiastic students.
The highlight of the Fair was the inspiring welcome speech delivered by Mr. Erion Veliaj, the Mayor, and Mrs. Bora Muzhaqi , the Minister of State for Youth and Children.

BALKAN UNIVERSITIES ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP
|
We are thrilled to announce that our university is now a new member of the prestigious Balkan Universities Association (BUA).
This prestigious association, founded in 2014, stands as the largest university consortium in the Balkans, boasting 81 members from various Balkan nations including Albania,
BiH, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Romania.

INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC COLLABORATION – KOSZALIN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, POLAND
|
We had the pleasure of hosting esteemed lecturers from Koszalin University of Technology, Poland, through the CEEPUS program, Dr. Aneta Hapka, the Dean’s Representative for Science and Development, and Dr. Rafał Wojszczyk, from the Department of Computer Engineering.
A warm welcome was extended by Assoc. Prof. Vasil Qano, our CIT CEEPUS Coordinator, and Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoğlu, our Vice-Rector for International Affairs.

CIT – AAB COLLEGE | CROSS-BORDER COLLABORATION
|
CIT hosted a delegation from AAB College, a distinguished private university based in Pristina, Kosovo. The session began with informative presentations about the respective institutions, where the focal point of discussion
revolved around potential cooperation in the Digital Marketing program, while both parties expressed openness to exploring collaboration opportunities across other programs as well.
