WHO ARE WE?

Canadian Institute of Technology was established in 2011. Its philosophy aims to provide potential students with the necessary and competitive skillset in demand by the Albanian and Balkan regions, as well as European and North-American labor markets.

Offering the curricula in the English language makes it possible for the CIT to use the latest teaching methodologies with updated academic materials and to open larger horizons for graduates in the Balkan region and beyond.

4th Students’ Conference

Continuing our tradition of excellence, with students at the center of our mission, the 4th Students’ Conference at CIT brought together innovative ideas and groundbreaking projects from students of CIT, Aleksandër Moisiu University, and Fan S. Noli University.

Slovak University of Technology | CEEPUS Mobility Program

Our esteemed lecturer, MSc. Florenc Hidri, participated in the CEEPUS mobility program at the Faculty of Material Science and Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. Hosted by Assoc. Prof. MSc. Eng. PhD. Roman Ružarovský, this program offered an enriching experience with lectures, academic discussions, and collaborative activities.

ALBANIA’S PATH TO EU INTEGRATION | Open Lecture

We had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Besnik Dervishi, Information Rights and Personal Data Protection Commissioner, to lead an inspiring and thought-provoking lecture. The discussion focused on the significance of Information Rights and GDPR in Albania’s EU integration journey.

Student Government Meeting

The Student Government gathered with all the senators to set new goals and discuss the remaining issues as we look ahead to an exciting 2025.

Informative Session on Diploma Thesis

Assoc. Prof. Nihat Adar and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Entelë Gavoçi conducted an insightful session for our third-year bachelor and second-year master students. They discussed important topics such as adherence to academic regulations, strategic selection of research topics, and the significance of choosing the right supervisor.

PROJECT DATA PROTECTION IN THE EU – RAISING AWARENESS

Proudly supported by the European Union through the Jean Monnet and Erasmus programs, we are launching an exciting 36-month project to develop a comprehensive course on Data Protection in the European Union.

LEO Satellite Performance Comparison Under Two Different Elevations | Published Paper

Our professor, Assoc. Prof. Shkelzen Cakaj, has published a new research paper on LEO Satellite Performance Comparison Under Two Different Elevations in Scientific Research Publishing. This study examines the impact of elevation angles on communication windows in LEO satellite systems, using Starlink satellites at a 550 km altitude as a case study.

Practical Approach to Managing Human Risk in Cybersecurity | Open Lecture

We successfully hosted an insightful open lecture in collaboration with CIRD Engineering, designed specifically for our Master’s students. The session featured Mr. Rexhion Qafa, Executive Director of the Illyrian Cyber Security Center, who shared his expertise on “Practical Approach to Managing Human Risk in Cybersecurity.”

ERASMUS+ AND CEEPUS PROGRAMS | Informative Session

CIT hosted an informative session on the Erasmus+ and CEEPUS exchange programs, led by Dr. Brisida Sefa. The session brought together first-year Bachelor students for an engaging discussion about the exciting international mobility opportunities available through these programs.

Explore Entrepreneurial Opportunities with JUP 4.0

Representatives from Junior Achievement Albania hosted an informative session, introducing students to JUP 4.0, an incubation and acceleration program designed to develop entrepreneurial skills.
