The Initiative for Cooperation, Research, and Innovation in Western Balkan Universities (ICRI-WB) officially commenced with a successful kick-off meeting, marking the beginning of a promising effort to enhance academic collaboration across the region. The project is funded by the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (NASRI) under the 2025 Program for Social Sciences, Internationalization of Higher Education, and Digitalization.

ICRI-WB aims to establish enduring academic networks, strengthen research capacities, and foster university-industry partnerships that drive innovation and sustainable development in the Western Balkans.

Led by the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) in partnership with Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, the kick-off meeting set a collaborative and ambitious agenda, paving the way for impactful outcomes in the years to come.
