On September 17, 2025, the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) successfully hosted the second online Focus Group as part of the “Initiative for Collaboration, Research and Innovation in Western Balkans Universities” (ICRI-WB) project. The initiative is funded by NASRI and led by CIT in partnership with the University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës (UAMD).
The session, moderated by Prof. Dr. Ermira Qosja, brought together academic staff and project office representatives from several partner universities, including:
- Universum International College (Kosovo)
- University Haxhi Zeka (Peja, Kosovo)
- University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës
- University of Elbasan “Aleksandër Xhuvani”
- University of Vlora “Ismail Qemali”
The Focus Group aimed to gather key insights on the role of regional cooperation in scientific research and its connections to industry and innovation in the Western Balkans. Participants discussed current challenges, explored opportunities for collaboration, and proposed practical approaches to enhance inter-university cooperation and support sustainable partnerships in research and innovation across the region.
