CIT & ASCAL Official Institutional Meeting

Strengthening Quality and Partnerships in Higher Education

The Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) welcomed the leadership of the Agency for the Assurance of Quality in Higher Education (ASCAL) for a constructive and forward-looking institutional visit. The ASCAL delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anisa Subashi and Mr. Erjon Xhako.

The meeting was hosted by the Rector of CIT, Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoglu, and focused on reinforcing CIT’s continuous commitment to academic quality, transparency, and institutional development.

During the meeting, ASCAL acknowledged CIT’s strong institutional performance, confirming that all study programs offered by the institution are fully accredited.

CIT presented key elements of its academic model, including its North American–based curriculum, international academic staff, technology-driven teaching methodology, and strong graduate outcomes. Notably, CIT alumni are successfully employed in leading global companies such as Google and Amazon.

ASCAL also highlighted several important developments in the national quality assurance framework, including enhanced accreditation procedures, annual follow-up processes, confidential feedback mechanisms, and ongoing efforts toward membership in the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), aimed at strengthening Europe-wide diploma recognition.

Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and dialogue in support of quality enhancement in higher education.

This meeting represents another important step toward advancing academic standards and aligning Albanian higher education with European benchmarks. CIT expresses its sincere appreciation to ASCAL’s leadership and looks forward to further strengthening this partnership.
