The Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) is thrilled to announce a major milestone for our Department of Business Administration. We have officially received accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for two additional key modules within our Master of Science in Finance and Accounting (Accounting and Auditing profile).
Following a rigorous review process, the ACCA has officially granted exemptions for our Taxation (TX) and Audit and Assurance (AA) courses.
Building a World-Class Program These two new exemptions proudly join our four previously accredited modules:
- Business and Technology (BT)
- Management Accounting (MA)
- Financial Accounting (FA)
- Corporate and Business Law (LW)
This means that graduates of our MSc in Finance and Accounting (Accounting and Auditing) program will now automatically receive a total of six exam exemptions when pursuing their full ACCA qualification! This significantly accelerates our students’ journey toward becoming internationally recognized Chartered Certified Accountants.
Looking Ahead: The Ultimate Career Pathway This achievement is a testament to the high academic standards and practical relevance of our curriculum. But we aren’t stopping here! With six exemptions already secured, CIT is actively working with ACCA to accredit two more modules in the near future, which will bring our total to an outstanding 8 exam exemptions.
Our ultimate goal is to provide a dual-pathway for our students, allowing them to graduate with both a Master’s degree and the ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, giving them an unparalleled competitive edge in the global job market.
A huge congratulations to our dedicated faculty and staff who made this possible!
