ICITTBT 2026 Opens in Tirana, Bringing Together Global Experts in AI and Digital Transformation

On 4–5 June 2026, Tirana hosted ICITTBT 2026 – the 6th International Conference on Transforming Industries and Societies through AI-Enabled Information Systems, welcoming academics, policymakers, researchers, innovators, and industry leaders from 36 countries.

The conference opened with remarks from Prof. Dr. Ramiz Zekaj, President of the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT); Prof. Ismail Kocayusufoğlu, Rector of CIT; Tanya du Plessis of Conestoga College, Canada; Endrit Yzeiraj, Vice Minister of Finance of Albania; Floreta Faber, Vice Director of AKSK; representatives of AKSHI; and senior representatives from CIT’s international partner institutions, including Trakya University, the University of Porto, the University of Québec, and the University of Ceske Budejovice.

Serving as an international platform for dialogue and collaboration, ICITTBT 2026 brought together experts from academia, government, and industry to exchange knowledge, present innovative research, and explore emerging developments in artificial intelligence and digital technologies. Discussions focused on the transformative impact of AI-enabled information systems and their role in advancing sustainable industries, economic development, and societal progress.

Over the course of two days, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on innovation, research, and international cooperation, reinforcing the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in addressing the opportunities and challenges presented by rapid technological change.

Through events such as ICITTBT 2026, the Canadian Institute of Technology continues to strengthen its commitment to research excellence, international partnership, and the advancement of knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
