MSc. Egis Zaimaj is our lecturer in Finance and Econometrics, with extensive experience as a data analyst. Her research focuses on economic growth, econometrics, financial markets, volatility, risk, and the insurance industry.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and pursued further studies in Accounting and Management Control at Lund University in Sweden.

Currently, pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Tirana, Department of Banking and Finance.

With a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance, she has dedicated six years to the academic community.

In addition to academia, MSc. Zaimaj has worked at the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority where she got engaged in important projects such as IAIS’ assessment of insurance laws and practices in Albania, preparation of materials in line with Chapter 9 “Financial Services” to be presented in Brussels, and several other projects undertaken in close cooperation with World Bank, IAIS, IMF.

Recently, she was appointed as an Advisor to the Ministry of Finances and Economy.
