The Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT), represented by Dr. Bledar Komina, Project Lead of the ICRI-WB project and Member of the CIT Board of Administration, participated in an academic meeting at the University “Ismail Qemali” of Vlora on September 29, 2025.

CIT was accompanied by partners from the University of Durrës “Aleksandër Moisiu”, including Prof. Assoc. Dr. Llambi Prendi, Dean of the Faculty of Business, and Prof. Dr. Ermira Qosja. The delegation was warmly received by the University of Vlora’s leadership: Prof. Assoc. Frosina Qyrdeti, Vice-Rector; Romina Tahiraj (Xhelaj), Director of Research, Development, and Third-Party Relations; and Ms. Artemida Luçaj, Head of Sector for Scientific Research and Doctoral Studies.

The meeting focused on strengthening regional academic collaboration through the Initiative for Collaboration, Research and Innovation in Western Balkans Universities (ICRI-WB), financed by NASRI. During the session, CIT formally invited the University “Ismail Qemali” to join the regional platform—a hub designed to support research, project development, academic networking, and industry partnerships across the Western Balkans.

As the leading institution behind ICRI-WB, CIT continues to play a pivotal role in coordinating efforts, facilitating inter-university networking, and advancing sustainable scientific and academic cooperation in the region. This visit reaffirms CIT’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange across the Western Balkans.
