The Canadian Institute of Technology hosted the 25th International Conference of Ottoman and Pre-Ottoman Studies (CIEPO) from June 21-25, organized by the Sami Frashëri Institute, in close partnership with the European University of Tirana and Air Albania.

This prestigious event brought together dozens of scholars and historians from the world’s most renowned universities and research centers. Over five engaging days, participants delved into various dimensions of Ottoman history, culture, and society, fostering insightful discussions and academic collaboration.

The Opening Ceremony, attended by around 170 scholars, featured notable speakers including UET President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selami Xhepa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye Tayyar Kağan Atay, CIEPO President Prof. Dr. İlhan Şahin, Chairman of the Sami Frashëri Institute Dr. Ardian Muhaj, CIT representative Prof. Reis Mulita, and renowned historian Prof. Dr. Ferit Duka.
