On 12 November 2025, the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) welcomed a delegation from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, to discuss opportunities for academic cooperation.
The meeting opened with greetings from Dr. Bledar Komina, who introduced CIT’s programs, initiatives, and international outlook. The KFUPM representatives, led by Mr. Muhammad Nurdin Wahid, presented their university’s academic profile and highlighted fully funded PhD and Direct PhD scholarships, as well as the 8-week International Summer Research Program.
Both institutions explored potential collaboration in joint conferences, hackathons, staff exchanges, and research projects. CIT proposed exchanging draft MoUs, and KFUPM expressed readiness to continue discussions.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to advance the partnership and plan future visits to finalize a formal cooperation agreement.
