Faculty of Engineering Vacancies in the domain of Computer Sciences and Network Engineering

Job Description

The Engineering Faculty of Canadian Institute of Technology seeks to appoint a full-time Assistant- Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the domain of Computer Sciences and Network Engineering Expecting starting date is end of February 2023.

 Duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver high quality teaching in engineering focused topics to undergraduate, and postgraduate students.
  • Conduct research as appropriate to the academic’s capability
  • Supervise diplomas’ thesis, conduct tutorials, practical sessions, to foster and stimulate an active learning environment
  • Contribute to curricula improvement and innovative teaching methodologies
  • Collaborate with colleagues on research projects, as well as cross-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Disseminate research findings through presentations at national and international conferences, and publication in CIT Review Journal and other journals

The retained candidate is expected to teach courses related to:

  • Software Engineering
  • Computer Engineering& IT
  • Big Data
  • Multimedia Design
  • Cybersecurity

Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement, Master Degree, preferable PhD Degree in the above-mentioned fields, from an accredited institution of higher education. Candidates that do not match these requirements won’t be considered.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability (teaching, research and engagement) in an     engineering field.
  • Demonstrates a good track record of high academic performance.
  • Evidence of a strong research track record in the area of computing sciences.
  • Ability to supervise Bachelor and Master Students.
  • Deliver ethical and high-quality products that align CIT mission and vision
  • The ability to teach in English language (English certificate, minimum level C1 obtained from TOEICTOEFL or British Council or a Diploma of studies in at least 1 cycle of studies in English.
  • The applicant should be committed to innovative teaching methodologies and student-cantered learning. Experience in working with second-language learners or in international academic contexts is an asset.
