An official academic visit from the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT), led by Rector Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoglu and Dr. Bledar Komini, Project Lead of the ICRI-WB project and Board of Administration Advisor, took place on September 10, 2025, at the Mediterranean University Podgorica, Montenegro.

The delegation also included partners from the University of Durrës “Aleksandër Moisiu”: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Llambi Prendi and Prof. Dr. Ermira Qosja.

The CIT delegation was welcomed by Rector Prof. Dr. Savo Marković, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Dr. Marija Janković, and other members of the academic staff. Discussions centered on future academic cooperation, joint research and project collaboration, and regional networking initiatives.

CIT extended an invitation for Mediterranean University Podgorica to join the ICRI-WB project (Initiative for Collaboration, Research and Innovation in Western Balkans Universities), a regional platform led by CIT and funded by NASRI (National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation, Albania). As the leading institution of this initiative, CIT plays a central role in coordinating efforts, facilitating networking, and advancing sustainable academic and scientific collaboration across the region.
