The Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT), in partnership with Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, is proud to announce the official launch of the ICRI-WB project — Initiative for Cooperation, Research, and Innovation in Western Balkan Universities.
Awarded under the 2025 Program for Social Sciences, Internationalization of Higher Education, and Digitalization, the project is financially supported by the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (NASRI).
The ICRI-WB project is designed to foster meaningful cooperation among universities across the Western Balkans. Its core objectives include:
- Strengthening institutional research capacities,
- Embracing digital transformation in higher education,
- Promoting active collaboration between academia and industry.
Through these pillars, ICRI-WB aims to generate impactful research that informs policy, drives innovation, and supports the region’s sustainable development goals.
This initiative represents a significant step toward building a more connected, future-oriented academic environment, positioning Western Balkan universities as key contributors to regional progress and global knowledge networks.
