Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) organized today the Election Day for the position of Rector. CIT delightfully announces that Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi has been elected as the Rector of CIT.
CIT expresses its acknowledge and gratitute to the other candidate as well, Prof. Dr. Habib Hamam, to whom CIT wishes the best in the future!
Since 2016, Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi has been a top-performing lecturer at CIT. Simultaneously, he has been holding the position of the Dean of Engineering, where the Faculty of Engineering experienced one of the most fruitful periods.
Regarding his academic achievements, Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi holds a PhD from Fribourg University in Switzerland and a Postdoctoral Research from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Prof. Dr. Sokol Abazi has clearly shown his academic vision in the past, where CIT has been constantly outperforming its objectives. Furthermore, as he said:
“The knowledge and the concept of university for me are a mission rather than just a profession. Indeed, through knowledge the mankind can be pushed beyond its boundaries. Universitities are the places of knowledge, where the knowledge is born, conveyed and stored from one generation to another. CIT will play such a divine role!”
